March 2022 Runners Bulletin

Updated: Apr 4, 2022

What's in the bulletin.

Meet our Sponsors

Sportstiks are once again our title sponsors for the Brentwood Half Marathon and Fun Run event. This will be the 4th year organised with the Brentwood business's support.

Who are Sportstiks?

Printers and producers of all forms of athlete id. This includes running numbers, temporary race tattoos, event wristbands and tri-set sticker sheets.

Sportstiks is based in Brentwood and is a division of label manufacturer and Brentwood's Employer of the Year, Baker Labels.

"We are very proud of our involvement and support given to the Brentwood Half Marathon and Fun Run organising team. Knowing that our contribution helps to raise thousands of pounds for charities, is the reason we are title sponsors. This is a fantastic community event with an impressive history in fundraising. It means a great deal to us to play a valuable role in the event again this year."

This year Sportstiks has provided the event with:

  • Personalised running numbers

  • Event T-shirts

  • Finishers medals

  • Temporary tattoos

  • Trophies and Awards

  • Organising your Pacing Team

  • All printed products including, banners, race packs and road closure notices

  • Event video via Carmel Jane Films (watch 2020 event video)

  • Social media, marketing and communications support

Team Bakers and Sportstiks

"Sportstiks will have a big presence on the day, with a team of runners in both the half marathon and fun run, volunteer marshalls at the finish line and a cheer point on Sawyers Hall Lane. We'll have extra tattoos for runners and supporters as well as sweets, music and a noisy cheer squad. We love being part of this event every year."

Supporting Ukraine

We are all shocked and frightened for the people of Ukraine just now. If runners would like to show support for the victims of the war there on race day, Sportstiks will be providing Ukraine flag tattoos to apply to your skin. Visit their stand near the START line and make a donation if you can.

Race Pack

What's in it and when should I receive it?

Inside your race pack will be your race bib (running number), safety pins, a fun tattoo set and a race day instruction letter. Your timing chip is the foiled area on the reverse of your race bib.

If you ordered an event t-shirt you will receive this around the same time.

Race packs have started to be sent out by our timing chip partner FR Systems so many of you will have received them already.

Anyone entering after 10th March will have to collect their race packs from the information desk on race day.

"My race pack has not arrived!"

In the unlikely event that your race pack does not arrive by Wednesday 16th March 2022 please let us know, preferably by e-mail through our contact page. If we have received your entry, we will ensure a replacement pack is available at the information desk on race day.

Before you contact us it is important that you check that we have received your entry via the 'Check your Entry' facility on the FR Systems entry page.

What if I can no longer run the Sportstiks Brentwood Half Marathon?

Injuries, illness and plans change. It happens and we're always sad when an entrant can no longer run. It's in our Ts&Cs that we do not offer refunds to anyone no longer able to run. However, you can transfer your entry to another runner. Full details in the FAQ section on our website

  • FR Systems have an on-line facility to allow transfer of an entry in the Half Marathon to another runner up to the entry closure date of 18th March 2022.

  • The runner changes must be made on-line via the FR Systems portal. Details for access are provided at the time of entry and can be found on your confirmation email.

  • The integral chip and race number must be handed by the original entrant to the new runner. You cannot transfer an entry if you have not received the race number/chip and no replacements will be issued.

  • Runners who take part with a race number that has not been officially transferred will be disqualified.

Route Maps

The routes for both the half marathon and the fun run are unchanged from the last couple of years. You can view an interactive map of both routes on our website, or you can download printable versions of the half marathon and fun run route.

Use our 2022 Pacing Team to hit your goal
